I love science, and I love communicating the excitement of science and scientific advancements to a diverse audience, from researchers in the field, to patients and members of the public. I went into medical and science communications because I enjoy getting to the heart of a topic, quickly understanding the key messages, then communicating them to the audience in the most appropriate way, using the best medium.
My background
Following an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology at Birkbeck, I started work in a medical communications agency in 2013. Since then I've had more than 9 years' experience in medical communications agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, and as a freelancer, covering independent medical education, e-learning, patient experience, and general medcomms work. I went freelance in 2019 to work on a range of medical and science communications projects.

Working with me
I offer a reliable, professional service, based on clear and engaging communication underpinned by scientific rigour and accuracy. I work with you as a client to identify what you need the project to achieve and the key messages which need to be communicated, and deliver on time and within budget. I'm used to taking internal and external feedback and edits on board, including complex and sometimes conflicting comments and edits from multiple different reviewers. I'm a quick learner who can get up to speed with new areas or topics rapidly and grasp the key points and messages. I can adapt to challenges that arise within the course of a project, and I'm used to the fast-paced demands of the medcomms industry, and the pressures agencies and clients work with.
